- Perform fabrication processes using manual, semi-automatic, and fully mechanized welding processes
- Perform routine assembly operations utilizing basic mechanical equipment and hand tools (grinding, buffing, cutting) of a repetitive nature on mechanical and/or electronic components and sub-assemblies
- Understands and follows welding procedure specifications on different welding processes
- Ability to change from different welding/fabrication methods daily
- Ensures quality of products throughout the process
- Regularly required to stand for 8 or more hours per day
- Regularly required to reach with arms and hands
- Regularly required to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Some related welding experience, personal or professional
- Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and operate machines
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and understand basic drawings, diagrams, and production orders
- Must be flexible and willing to learn different positions
- Specific vision abilities for this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
