JOB SUMMARYAs a Planning Analyst, your role is pivotal in ensuring efficient inventory management through data analysis and strategic planning.
Collaborating closely with the Supply Planning Manager and cross-functional teams, you'll contribute to maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting the product lifecycle.
Your analytical insights will guide purchasing decisions and inventory optimization efforts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate production schedules and streamline delivery processes.
Monitor and communicate potential supply chain disruptions, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
Utilize forecasting models to adjust supply plans and create purchasing schedules that align with service level targets and inventory goals.
Manage inventory for promotional and marketing items and kits, ensuring adequate stock levels to support marketing and sales initiatives.Assist in managing inventory health by monitoring product lifecycle stages, including reformulations and discontinuations.
Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and analysis to identify discrepancies and optimize inventory accuracy.
Provide support to the Planning Manager and Supply Chain Planners on ad hoc projects and requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree:
1-3 years experience with Supply Chain Management (preferably in the consumer goods industry)Strong analytical skills. Problem-solving capabilities will be critical for success in this roleSelf-starter with the ability to work in a fast pace environmentEffective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple organizationsPrior experience and understanding of MRP and ERP systemsExceptional skills in Excel
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lifting:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
Reaching:
Extending hands and arms in any direction
Sitting:
Must be able to remain in the seated, stationary position throughout the workday.
