Summary

A dual career family moving to Richmond in early June 2024 are seeking a professional dependable full-time nanny to look after their two children a boy and girl around 50 hours a week.

The oldest child will be attending half day pre-school, and the nanny will be expected to transport him to and from school.

The family has a friendly dog.


About the Family
We are two technology professionals, relocating from Boston, MA, to (ideally) the West End area of Richmond.

Mom is an outside sales principal who works from home most of the time with a few days of travel every other month.

Dad is an executive at CarMax and in the office in Scott's Addition most days. Outside of work, the family enjoys traveling, beach/pool days in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter. We have a 3-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl.

We expect our 3 year old will be in full week half-day preschool; our 18 month old would likely enter the same program in the fall of 2025.

We try to keep our children engaged in physical activity, reading, socialization, exploration, or creative activity as much as possible.

We are fairly flexible and laid back in general, though adhere to a sleep routine. We also have a 4-year-old Goldendoodle.

Core hours expected to be 8a-6p though may flex up to an hour earlier or later with a lighter day on Friday, depending on weekly schedule.

Will communicate weekly schedule by the prior Friday or more in advance as needed.

Must have" Qualifications

• A minimum of two to three years of childcare experience backed up with strong checkable references
• A minimum of one year's nanny experience within the past three years
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Strong command of English reading, writing and spelling
• Minimum of 2 years infant care experience.
• Ability to physically play with kids at a moderately high level
• Must be willing to pass background and driving records checks
• Trustworthy, reliable, and honest
• Nurturing, patient, and calm with a positive and willing disposition

• Flexible

• Ability to stay late ad hoc some evening
• Certificates in CPR/First Aid
• Legal US resident
• Min. 21 years old
• Nonsmoker
• Ability to play, organize and multitask with mínimal supervision
• Good swimmer

Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour
