    Job Description

    Our client in the Aerospace industry, a full-service engineering and manufacturing company located in Hauppauge, NY, is actively seeking an experienced Buyer for their Purchasing Department.


    Duties:


    Provide support to engineering and manufacturing departments for the procurement of simple to complex structures, encompassing both metal and composites.

    Conduct effective negotiations with new and existing suppliers to secure advantageous pricing, reliable delivery, and optimal benefits for internal operations.

    Ensure vendors have all the necessary information to meet production schedules.
    Collaborate closely with production to address material flow issues and meet production schedules and customer requirements.
    Identify available inventory and assess the need for repurchasing.
    Navigate and utilize company databases, including the existing ERP system.
    Conduct meetings and visits to supplier facilities to assess manufacturing capabilities, equipment, and capacity.

    Qualifications:
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    Proficient computer skills.
    Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing purchasing.
    Experience in aerospace purchasing is a plus.

    Requirements:
    U.S. Citizen
    High School Diploma or equivalent
