Job Summary
The Production Supervisor plays an essential role in the effective and accurate manufacture of all NLX products.
The supervisor is responsible for the compliance of all processes and procedures as well as personnel activities such as schedules, quality, productivity, GMP/SOP compliance, and accurate documentation of all steps within all production areas.
Supervisor supports the Production Manager with direct responsibility for all manufacturing leads and their assigned personnel, quality, equipment, production, and documentation.

Direct responsibility for department leads which typically includes: recommendations for hiring, terminations, training, work allocation, problem resolution, and developing them into our next supervisors through assigned responsibilities.
Coordinate with the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure all cleanings are scheduled and being conducted as needed
Provide continual growth and higher performance through training and mentoring of the production staff
Collaborate with Production Manager to develop schedules that achieves the production plan developed to satisfy customer requirements
Monitor production schedule to adjust staffing, fill product orders, and CIPs when necessary
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Ensure that production packets(Redzone) are properly completed, data is accurate and is turned in timely for work order close to provide a timely report of the previous days production
Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor(s) and Production Manager to schedule time for preventative maintenance to ensure mínimal interruption to production.
Ensure production employees continually cross train ensuring full coverage.
Collaborate with Human Resource Manager to resolve personnel problems; investigate issues; identify solutions; recommend actions
Assist QA Manager and Production Manager in updating, creating and implementing SOPs
Ensure adequate stock and serviceability of necessary production supplies and equipment; recommend purchase of materials, supplies, and/or equipment as appropriate
Propose and oversee implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve quality, efficiency and eliminate waste
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to ensure employee safety, product integrity and efficiency
Demonstrate good judgment by reacting to unsafe acts or conditions by making them safe or reporting them to those who can correct them, and documenting the correction
Perform assigned tasks while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required
Monitor and coordinate the accurate and timely fulfillment of manufacturing orders
Ensure all inventory records are accurately completed and maintained
Collaborate with HR to keep department job descriptions up to date
Must maintain confidentiality at all times
Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Excellent working knowledge of basic math, including metric weights and measures
Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally at all levels within the organization
Ability to act as a "coach" and motivator, and demonstrate a positive influence on team members
Requires ability to formulate, give, take, and follow directions, demonstrated time management skills as well as organizational development and improvement skills
Computer proficiency and an understanding of their relationship to modern manufacturing
Excellent working knowledge of processing machinery
Ability to give positive suggestions to improve operations in the work center
Ability to work well under changing demands
Must have good work ethics, be highly motivated, and be a hands-on problem solver
Ability to detect, recognize, and judge discrepancies
Requires accuracy, reliability, and attention to quality
Solid understanding of quality and food safety as it relates to the manufacturing process
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control
Experience in food products or related industry (aseptic processing is a plus)
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science or Business degree preferred
Experience in food products or related industry (aseptic processing is a plus)
Minimum 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment or equivale
