Job is in office NOT remote, Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM.


MMI Storage Solutions designs, manufactures, ships, and installs high-density mobile shelving systems to save space and increase product storage capacity.

We have been in business for 30+ years and supply to a number of environments including retail, commercial, agriculture, hospitality, and recreational industries.

Summary for Project Estimator/Drafter:


  • This person will be responsible for working with floor plans/blueprints and making determinations of quantities, sizes, and location of shelving units.
  • We are looking for someone who is visually perceptive and has the ability to "think outside the box".
  • This person should be organized, thorough, and have good communication skills as dialogue with the clients and architects is imperative for quoting accuracy.

Responsibilities for Project Estimator/Drafter:


  • Working with architects to design stockroom shelving layout in AutoCAD.
  • Coordination with clients on unit designations.
  • Knowledge of IBC codes for egress, clearances, ADA, etc helpful.
  • Comprehension of product and services to assist customers, architects, and GC's.
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of client requirements.
  • Working with all internal departments to achieve client needs/brainstorm.
  • Time management for bid due dates, GC submittals.
  • Estimate product value in order to produce pricing quote using tools supplied
  • Perform bid take offs within company system
  • Calculate intangible costs such as freight and labor

Requirements for Project Estimator/Drafter:


  • Someone who works well in a fastpaced environment, can multitask, shift gears well, and understand the demands of construction job sites would fit well in the position.
  • Desire to go above and beyond in fulfilling client's specific needs which may vary across accounts.
  • Ability to communicate customer's needs to operations and supporting internal departments.
  • Comprehension of floor plans/blueprints and other construction documents.
  • Multitasking, attention to detail, organization, and a fastpaced demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, primarily Excel and Outlook.
  • Willingness to learn additional project estimation skills and other facets of design and engineering

Pay:
$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
