    Salary:
    $27 - $30 per hour
    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Waste Water Technician.

    Magazine in the Environmental Service industry, they are dedicated to environmental sustainability and are looking for a top-notch candidate to assist in the efficient operation of their new state-of-the-art Charlotte facility.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, inventory management, hiring and training, and a strong background in using and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    Oversee the operation of the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) machine for water cleaning before discharging into the sewer.
    Operating and maintaining the Flottweg centrifuge used for extracting fats and oils from waste streams.
    Conduct power washing activities including trucks, old grease containers, dewatering trailers, and inside tanker trailers (confined space entry).
    Loading finished products onto trailers and off-loading trucks.
    Refurbish old grease containers through painting, metal grinding, and welding.
    Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, mixers, hoses, and other equipment.
    Conduct daily sampling of plant materials and perform various analytical testing on finished products and wastewater.
    Collaborate with the Wastewater Manager in developing and implementing schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
    Assist in hiring and training new team members as needed.
    Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
    Minimum of two years of experience operating wastewater equipment, including DAF and centrifuge machines.
    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot unexpected equipment failures.
    Certified forklift operator.
    General understanding of basic mechanical functions such as valves and pumps.
