    Position Description Union Concrete is a longstanding family owned heavy civil contractor with a fleet of 125 vehicles from light pickups to heavy haul tractors.

    UCC's truck mechanics repair, maintain and rebuild this extensive fleet. UCC's truck mechanics all work on a wide range of vehicles from all different manufacturers. Position is primarily at UCC's shop in West Seneca, NY but some field work will be required. This is a full-time year round position that includes some mandatory overtime and weekend work.

    Hourly Pay Rate:
    $30-35 per hour
    Benefits Provided
    Participation in company 401k plan
    Company profit sharing contribution of 15% of pay once eligibility criteria met
    Full health insurance with premium 100% funded by company regardless of type (single or family coverage)
    80 hrs of personal leave after one year of employment

    Paid holidays:

    Friday after Thanksgiving
    Half day on Christmas eve
    Christmas through New Years Day Position Requirements You must possess the following skills and experience for this position:
    At least five years experience as an automotive or truck mechanic
    Safety conscious
    Must own tools
    Ability to work overtime
    Ability to work weekends
    NYS Certified Motor Vehicle Inspector
    CDL is a plus

    Experience working on:
    Gasoline Engines
    Diesel engines
    pickup trucks
    dump trucks
    Tractors
    Specialty trucks
    trailers

    Detailed knowledge and mechanical skill:
    braking systems
    transmission and driveline
    air systems
    Fuel Systems
    Gasoline and Diesel Engines
    Emission Control Systems
    Air-Conditioning Systems
    Electrical and Computer systems
