    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Development of front- and back-end web apps in a Service-Oriented Architecture
    • Working closely with other tech team members on software development, especially regarding functionality, user experience, and technical design
    • Supervising deliverables as per agreed project plans
    • Creating, coding, and implementing well-documented REST APIs used by internal and external apps
    • Ensuring thorough testing of code using Rspec and Capybara
    • Participating in code upkeep, bug fixes, and various cross-functional responsibilities with quality assurance
    • Engaging in design and code assessments

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of professional or personal experience working with Ruby on Rails
    • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
    • 1+ years of professional software development experience (or a mix of relevant education and experience)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-driven and motivated
    • Experience with any of the following is a bonus: front-end Javascript libraries (React, Angular, etc.), TDD/BDD, mobile development, E-commerce, API design, Postgres or Redis
