Job Overview:


  • The role of the Food Runner is crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of orders from servers to the kitchen, maintaining correct order priority, and assisting in the final preparation of dishes. Additionally, they play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, presentation, and temperature of dishes before delivery.

Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Coordinate the efficient flow of orders from servers to the kitchen, ensuring timely preparation.
  • Prioritize orders accurately to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Inspect dishes before delivery to ensure accuracy, presentation, and temperature meet expectations.
  • Deliver orders promptly to uphold fast service standards.
  • Facilitate communication between the kitchen and servers, conveying important information.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and assist with other tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of orders.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Provide support to servers during peak times, including helping with table setup and clearing.
  • Monitor inventory levels of essential items and communicate needs to supervisors.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food safety practices.

Required Skills & Abilities:


  • Adhere to personal hygiene procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Stay updated on company Food Safety Programs and relevant regulations.
  • Support colleagues and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Foster teamwork and contribute to achieving common goals.
  • Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods as necessary.
  • Bend, twist, pull, and stoop to reach items as required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Active Food Handler's certificate.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
