K-4 Targeted EL Teacher Job Description FY25

As a K-4 Targeted EL Teacher, you will design and implement language instruction, provide support and guidance to EL students, and collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment. You should be knowledgeable in language acquisition, be patient, and have excellent communication skills. This position will create a classroom environment conducive to learning by utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all EL students. Small group instruction aligned to English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPs) and the Structured English Immersion (SEI) Pull-out Model will be provided daily.

English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
-
Design, plan, and implement English instruction for K-4 EL students.Monitor and assess student progress.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to maximize student learning.Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide SEI Strategies and scaffolds for EL students.
Develop lesson plans and materials based on Arizona's ELPs to meet individual student needs.Facilitate parent and community involvement.**
