    Description
    A local client of CFS, located right here in Raleigh is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to support its growth
    Reporting to a Senior Specialist, the role involves payroll processing, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance
    The ideal candidate should be adaptable, solution-oriented, and committed to employee support.


    Skills:

    - Experience in HR role, dealing with benefits/payroll
    1-2 years of experience is ideal

    • Essential to have strong grasp of principles, laws and procedures of benefits and payroll
    • Payroll/benefits software experiencepreferably ADP WorkForce Now
    • Background in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
    • Skilled with Excel and Outlook
    • Multi-State payroll experience
    • Great planning and organizational acumen/ability to multitask and balance multiple projects at once

    Responsibilities:

    - Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws

    • Administer leave of absence programs and disability claims
    • Manage approval of timesheets and payroll changes; raises, bonuses, terminations
    • Process biweekly and semimonthly payroll accurately and on time for both salaried and hourly employees
    • Oversee compliance; COBRA, ERISA, ACA and others
    • Handle wage garnishments, tax filings, and state registrations
    • Support employee benefit management and set up of new hires
    • Address employee inquiries on payroll and benefits
    • Provide backup for prehire screening and orientation tasks
    • Assist HSE team with new hire entry and admin duties
