- Process multistate payroll for US employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Administer adjustments to employee pay rates or benefits deductions, including garnishments, tax levies, and support orders.
- Implement and maintain payroll best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee third-party vendors to ensure accurate and timely filing of payroll-related tax returns and forms.
- Respond to unemployment claims and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain employee records in the payroll/HRIS system and administer time and attendance policies.
- Coordinate with 401k and HSA providers for required funding, ing, and employee record updates.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll or benefits.
- Validate I-9s for new employees and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
- Plan and administer annual open enrollment periods, including preparation of materials and processing changes within deadlines.
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments and dependent information.
- Collaborate with accounting for quarterly and year-end audits.
- BA or BS from an accredited university preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience administering multi-state payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems.
- Experience with ADP payroll software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information.
