PA College Prep cultivates our students' natural abilities by offering one-on-one counseling, individualized learning options and approaches, and frequent advisement meetings.

We are looking for a dynamic part-time STEM Counselor to guide our students. This role requires a positive, confident, and energetic individual whose contribution will be pivotal to the success of our STEM program.
STEM counselors provide academic, career, and personal counseling by assisting current and prospective students with the following:

STEM course and program information
Career exploration
Educational planning
Career selection
Identifying and exploring personal concerns
Providing assessment opportunities and using the results to help students select STEM courses and programs
STEM Counselors work closely with faculty to facilitate student success in science, technology, engineering, and math majors.

Expected qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience include:

Bachelor's and Master's Degree in a related field preferred
STEM counseling experience
Fluent in English (Writing and Spoken)
Fluent in Mandarin (Spoken

- helpful, not required)

Ability to help students create multiyear academic high school plans
Ability to identify and suggest extracurricular activities (during the school year and summer)
Create time management and study plans for students
Experience working in an educational setting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working with a school community (students, families, administrators, and other colleagues)
