Mid Level SQL DBA - Contract/ CTP- Raleigh, NC - $ $70.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Mid Level SQL DBA in Raleigh, NC.
Role Description
•High level administration - instances at database level
•Managing all instances on the DBs currently
•Handling Virtual machines in Azure Cloud - these are only used for SQL server
•Managing all releases/deployments in the SQL environments (test, staging production etc)
•Any DevOps that might be around deployment management
•Red Gate tools currently - having some experience would be nice to have, not a requirement
•New Relic is the other tool set that would be nice to have
•They will do monitoring and alerts through
•They will also be working with the software dev and engineering teams reviewing SQL code
•Before anything makes it's way to production, DBA will review all SQL objects from groups
•Working at a detailed level with user defined productions that are being used currently, tune them make them more efficient and potentially rewrite them
•Will be responsible for some smaller nuances of things in the infra space - patches on Virtual machine
•Managing the backup and retention strategy for backup databases
•Some MS SQL replication schemes (monitoring and managing these)
