Job Summary:

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within our organization.

This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to financial record-keeping, analysis, and reporting. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and understanding of accounting principles will contribute to the overall success of our accounting team

Duties/Responsibilities:

Process invoices, verify transactions, and reconcile discrepancies.
Assist in the vendor maintenance and required documentation (W9), reviewing purchase orders and other projects as required.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Assist in the generating and sending of invoices to customers, track payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies.
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary guidelines. Provide support and guidance to employees on expenserelated matters.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed by Controller.
Assist payroll department in processing payroll data, garnishments, new hire paperwork, unemployment responses and other projects as required by the payroll manager.
Assist Sr Staff Accountant with monthend processing as required, including but not limited to documents gathering, investigating transactions, credit card reconciliations, and journal entries.
Other projects as required by Controller.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, and payroll taxes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficient in accounting software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Focused, able to multitask and work well with others.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required. 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Pay:
$50, $55,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
