Department Overview


Community Access provides affordable housing and supportive services to individuals with psychiatric disabilities, histories of homelessness and substance use, families with histories of homelessness, and other low-income community members.

Salary:
$100,000.00

Position Overview
The role of the
Professional Development Coordinator is to support learning strategies and influence capacity-building within the organization.

Supporting the Human Resources and Training Departments the
PDC will be instrumental in developing and coordinating professional and career development opportunities for staff.

The position will provide special focus on management and leadership learning and help develop opportunities for those who have experienced educational barriers towards achieving their career goals.

In providing leadership, and substantive support in various agency-wide committees the
Professional Development Coordinator will work to enhance staff capacity and practice/values implementation.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a program/organization
  • Lived experience utilizing public mental health systems.
  • Ability to facilitate agency workgroups compromised of interdisciplinary.
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Ability to work remotely, as well as travel to various agency locations (Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan)
  • Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the Office of Mental Health (OMH)
