Hybrid -In-person Mon & Fri; Remote Tues-Thurs
The Logistics Analyst I provides logistics support services for a federal customer in Norfolk, VA, primarily by accepting requests for new Items and Companies to be added to the work management system (Maximo), researching the Item or Company, and creating or updating records in the system.
This position currently performs tasks remotely within established and specific guidelines, using good judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelines, references and procedures for application.
This position uses directives and instructions from DLA, NAVFAC, NAVSUP, and Maximo procedure manuals, and comprises fact-finding, review of information and making recommendations to resolve discrepancies.
Situations in which existing guidelines cannot be applied or that significantly deviates from stated guidelines are referred to a supervisor.
The Logistics Analyst I will be able to plan and carry out successive steps and handle problems and deviations in the work assignment in accordance with governing supply procedures and standards.
