Description
Under general direction of the Research Data Supervisor (RD Sup) II, the Research Data Specialist (RDS) I will perform advanced research and data analytics, with an emphasis on health and environmental justice research topics, to support the Department's various research activities and mandated reports.
- The RDS I will keep themselves informed of relevant extant empirical research, determine the appropriate research methodology, collect and manage data using appropriate technology and security protocols, conduct advanced statistical analyses to identify patterns, trends, and interpret the data to discover solutions and support recommendations; communicate findings to stakeholders orally and in writing and create data visualizations to facilitate comprehension; summarize and clearly/concisely communicate findings to support scientific, programmatic, and policy decisions.
- The RDS I will be responsible for designing, and leading research projects. The RDS I will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders, inside the Department, and will be responsible for interfacing with upper management on research issues.
