Job Description:

As a Dispatcher at ECHO East Coast Transportation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of our fleet, and providing support to our drivers and clients to ensure timely and efficient transportation experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch vehicles and drivers to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor vehicle locations and provide realtime updates to drivers and clients as needed.
• Coordinate with drivers to optimize routes and schedules, taking into account traffic patterns, weather conditions, and client preferences.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide support, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including trip details, vehicle maintenance, and driver schedules.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve dispatch operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in transportation dispatching or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, clients, and team members.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using dispatching software and GPS tracking systems.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of Jacksonville geography is an asset.
