GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Unit Secretary is responsible for clerical and receptionist duties for the assigned unit.

The Unit Secretary maintains a neat and orderly work area and is instrumental in attaining and maintaining good interpersonal relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, and ancillary personnel.


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous clerical experience required. Understanding of medical terminology required.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or GED required. Receives on the job training including electronic medical record, as well as office automation equipment training.
