Accounting Specialist

Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze data from various sources. Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Able to communicate/present to upper management on cost variance, inventory analysis and propose solutions for cost reductions and margin improvement
  • Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely.
  • Assist in tax planning and forecasting to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings.
  • Provide support during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Perform accounting and finance supporting tasks.
  • Perform other relevant accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, taxes, data analysis or related field
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in tax preparation and compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Logical thinker with problem solving skills and an aptitude for systems/technology
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks and SAP preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to learn in a fastpaced environment and pivot as needed
