Job Description
With minimal supervision, the financial analyst is responsible for compiling and preparing financial reports (monthly forecasts, quarterly reviews and ten-year plan).
This position focuses on expense information and is expected to provide meaningful and concise variance analysis of actual performance compared to the plan, forecast and prior period actuals.
Responsibilities
Liaison with various levels of department and regional personnel as well as Finance and Accounting staff.
Compile and prepare financial reports including monthly forecasts, headcount reconciliation, quarterly analysis and develop a ten-year plan for the assigned groups.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Two or more years' experience in financial accounting, financial planning, finance, public accounting, or other related experience.
Good understanding of accounting financial statements to facilitate modeling.
Excellent Excel skills needed for financial modeling.
Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of software - Oracle, PowerPlan and Utilities International helpful.
Ability to complete multiple tasks within time constraints. Ability to ascertain how transactions affect all areas of financial statements.
Ability to function well under pressure. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
Periodic overtime will be required, especially during the preparation of the ten-year plan and the forecasting time frame.
Effective analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

BHE Pipeline Group consists of Berkshire Hathaway Energy's interstate natural gas pipeline companies, BHE GT&S, Kern River Gas Transmission Company and Northern Natural Gas Company.
Combined, BHE Pipeline Group operates approximately 21,200 miles of pipeline with a design capacity of approximately 21.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day, owns assets in 27 states and transported approximately 15% of the total natural gas consumed in the U.S.
during 2022.BHE Pipeline Group also operates 22 natural gas storage facilities with a total working gas capacity of 515.6 billion cubic feet and a liquefied natural gas export, import and storage facility.
