Overview:

Are you a versatile, hands-on professional with expertise in multiple aspects of apartment remodeling? The Apartment Company is seeking an Apartment Remodeler who can tackle a wide range of responsibilities in remodeling projects.

If you're experienced in framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and tile installation, and you're ready for a dynamic role where every day is different, we want to hear from you.


Responsibilities:

As an Apartment Remodeler, you will be responsible for a diverse set of tasks to transform apartment units.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Framing:


  • Reading and interpreting plans and blueprints for interior and exterior wall framing.
  • Constructing various framing components such as wall panels, plates, studs, joists, and more.
  • Knowledge of framing terminology including butt walls, intersecting walls, ladder back, partition stud, corner stud, header, sill or saddle, cripples, trimmers, and manufactured wall panels.

Plumbing:


  • Conducting demolition and reconstruction work.
  • Replacing old plumbing systems.
  • Repiping entire units with new copper systems.
  • Installing new fixtures including shower valves, showerheads, faucets, toilets, and more.

Electrical:


  • Replacing main and subpanels.
  • Troubleshooting, rush installs electrical system.
  • Installing lighting fixtures, outlets, and light switches.

Drywall:


  • Demolishing existing drywall.
  • Installing new drywall.
  • Conducting patch repairs.
  • Ensuring compliance with inspection requirements.

Patching:


Painting:


  • Knowledge of various paint sheens including High Gloss, Semi-Gloss, Satin, Flat, Eggshell, etc.
  • Painting units using multiple colors.
  • Experience with painting using rolls, brushes, and sprayers.

Carpentry:


  • Assembling readytoinstall kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
  • Ensuring installations meet height and level requirements.

Tile Installing/Setting:


  • Measuring, cutting, and placing new tiles.
  • Ensuring even edges and conducting tile repairs.

Requirements:


  • Proven 5 years of experience in apartment remodeling with expertise in the mentioned areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Problemsolving skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to sit, bend, crawl, kneel, and reach.
  • Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather.
  • Must be able to navigate uneven terrain.
