About us
Dr. Francisco Martinez Pediatrics PC has been a part of Long Island's children's lives for over 17 years. Comprised of a small group of four physicians our practice has earned a reputation for its excellent care. And as an NCQA recognized medical home, our practice has become a fixture in the Nassau County community.

We are looking for an energetic, smart individual to work in a fast-paced pediatric office as a Medical Scribe.

Must be bilingual, proficient in reading and writing, have excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask.

As a Medical Scribe, you will be working alongside a pediatrician as
a their personal assistant.

You will support the doctor and patients by performing documentation for the electronic medical records system, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care.

Exmaples of such dictation can include patient histories, discharge summaries, and physical examinations. The aim is to transcirbe all activites accurately and in a timely manner.


Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history and demographics
• Gathering information from patients and transferring data into the electronic medical records system
• Update medical records

Skills

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and serviceoriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy a plus
• Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, wordprocessing, and database software programs
• Knowledge of E-Clinical Medical Records System is preferred but not necessary
• Bachelor's degree with prehealth career track preferred.

Pay is dependent upon experience. $22.00 per hour to start if no prior experience; room for advancement.
