    Position Summary: The HR Generalist serves as the administrative point of contact for all Convivial Brands talent acquisition, onboarding, worker's compensation, employee health and leave administration, claims, and benefit programs.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    •Actively participates in the engagement of all candidates throughout the recruitment process, from application, resume review, pre-screening candidates, to job offer, including tracking the status of candidates in the ATS and notifying candidates of any updates during the process.

    •Processes onboarding for new hires, which includes entering new hires into the HRIS system and walking them through pre-employment tasks, as well as preparing employee files, ensuring I-9's are completed timely, and providing new hire orientation.
    • Works with a customer service mindset by answering employee questions related to payroll, benefits, requests for employment verifications, etc.
    • Participates in employee engagement activities and events.
    • Acts as the 401(k) Administrator, which includes managing enrollment, deferrals, withdrawals, audits, controls, and compliance.
    • Manages and processes any 401(k) plan changes/elections in the payroll software as well as field any questions regarding rollovers/transfers/distributions.

    •Acts as the HRIS Admin, which includes troubleshooting system issues and setting up new employee records, pay codes, PTO/sick pay accruals, taxes, deductions, etc. to ensure they are accurate.
    • Supporting HRIS system and alignment with organizational processes, including implementation, updates, troubleshooting, communications and resolution.

    •Works directly with payroll software representatives (Paycom) to ensure the system runs effectively.

    •Prepares payroll for processing on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.
    • Prepares and distributes documentation/reports for each department biweekly to include a zero hours report, overtime report, and turnover report for each department.
    • Facilitates responses to all BLS and U.S. Census Bureau requests.
    • Makes necessary changes to benefit elections in payroll service provider site to reflect through payroll as well as manually enrolling employees in coverage where carrier feeds are not set up due to plan enrollment size.
    • Reconciles benefit invoices and ensures invoices are sent to Accounts Payable timely for payment.
    • Responsible for COBRA administration through 3rd Party, which includes enrollment into COBRA coverage once separated team members elect.
    • Responsible for monthly auditing of the ACA reports and critical issues in the Paycom system.
    • Effectively oversees administration of leave of absence policies and compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
    • Enters PTO or Sick Pay time for employees off on a leave of absence to run in conjunction with FMLA or their personal leave.
    • Daily management of FMLA, medical, and personal leaves to include issuance of paperwork, tracking deadlines, following up with medical providers, monitoring benefit premiums, maintaining communication with the employee and their supervisor/s.
    • Manages and tracks FMLA/LOA and STD claims and corresponds with employees on leave regarding continuation of benefits and their premiums.
    • Monitors benefit premiums to ensure deductions/payments are being collected from team members who have not earned enough in their check to cover their deductions (i.e., someone working a reduced schedule).
    • Partners with Director of HR to ensure job descriptions are up to date and accurate for purposes of FMLA and ADA accommodation.
    • Serve as the injured employee's contact at Convivial Brands; responsibilities include injury reporting to RTW, referring cases to the Occupational Health provider when appropriate; contacting providers to clarify information and follow-up; contacting the supervisor for return to work and coordinating transitional work or light duty, etc.
    • Manages worker's compensation claims administration function to ensure timely reporting of losses to carrier.
    • Ensures regular communication with claimants to obtain information to reduce liability.
    • Educates staff regarding the leave process, as well as managers/supervisors of their role.
    • Ensures OSHA injury/illness records (300A, 300, 301) are completed maintained for annual reporting and required posting.
    • Owns the process to terminate team members from all systems and communicates with departments involved and affected.
    • Participate in meetings as needed, representing HR in discussions and projects.
    • Recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

    Required/Desired Qualifications:

    Education, Training, and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
    • At least 2-5 years of human resources experience.
    • At least 2- 5 years HRIS experience required, experience with Paycom is a plus.
    • Experience working for a multi-state employer is helpful but not required

    • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to apply sound decision making and judgment skills.
    • High degree of confidentiality to maintain employee and company privacy.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as experience using HRIS systems.
    Ability to work onsite at both locations.

    Other Special Requirements:
    • Manual dexterity required to operate modern office equipment.
    • Ability to travel as needed or assigned.
