    Department/Unit: Pediatric Emergency Department

    Work Shift: Night (United States of America)

    Summary

    The Clinical Nurse plays a key role in creating a compassionate environment for patients, families, and colleagues through acts of kindness and attentive listening. Recognizing the value of each team member's contribution to the mission's success.

    • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
    • Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care provided.
    • Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management.
    • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
    • Administers medications as prescribed.
    • Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care for all patients.
    • Directs ancillary personnel and upholds professional nursing standards.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree)
    • Current NYS Registered Nurse license required
    • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
    • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving techniques
