The embassy in Berlin is looking for an intern for the period of February 1, 2024 to July 15 or July 31, 2024.

The duration of the internship is five and a half months or six months, to be determined in mutual agreement.

The Culture and Communication (CC) Department of the Dutch embassy in Berlin offers a challenging internship with a lot of variety.

You will have the opportunity to experience bilateral diplomacy up close and be involved in all aspects of the work of press relations and other communication tasks of the CC department.


Requirements:


  • You have Dutch nationality;
  • You are currently in the final or penultimate phase of a relevant university or HBO education (such as media studies, communication sciences, media & communication, journalism & communication);
  • You are enrolled in a recognized Dutch university or HBO education for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You are proficient in working with social media and external communication;
  • You are skilled in producing short videos for social media (especially editing);
  • You have a proactive, flexible, and independent work attitude;
  • You are enthusiastic, presentable, enterprising, eager to learn, and a team player;
  • You have strong organizational skills;
  • You handle confidential information with integrity;
  • You are wellinformed about (foreign) political current affairs;
  • Excellent written skills in Dutch are essential;
  • Knowledge of German (at least level A2) is essential;
