- Create and support dynamic Jewish experiences, educational programs, and learning opportunities, including innovative initiatives and trips.
- Guide and mentor student interns and volunteers as they contribute to the campus community.
- Collaborate with other Hillel members to strengthen Jewish knowledge and educational capabilities.
- Develop relationships with University staff and local Jewish organizations.
- Lead students to the Shalom Hartman Institute iEngage Winter Student Seminar.
- Potentially teach courses at the Judaic Studies faculty, pending departmental approval.
- Rabbinic ordination or an advanced degree in Jewish studies, education, or related fields.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, with a background in community organizing, Hillel, youth programs, or Jewish education.
- Demonstrated success in community building, outreach, and program development.
- Training in counseling, administration, and fundraising is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of Jewish content, from traditional texts to modern sources.
- Skilled in facilitating discussions about Judaism and Israel at various levels.
- Committed to fostering an inclusive and vibrant Jewish community.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take risks.

The Senior Jewish Educator role is all about influencing and enhancing Jewish life on campus. You'll lead by example, engaging students through community building, spiritual guidance, and active participation. You'll focus on reaching out to students who may not be deeply involved in Jewish life, encouraging their enthusiasm and fostering a strong sense of identity.
