    Description

    Role Description

    The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing data models, queries, and tools for Enterprise Analytics and other analytics teams. They will collaborate with analysts and Tableau developers to create views, tables, and optimize queries to support our analytics teams, ensuring data access standardization and efficient metric display. The role involves establishing analytics data model standards, enhancing existing tools, and managing documentation and change activities for all analytics data models. Additionally, working with Data Engineering teams to advance models in the ETL workflow.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Leads the development of new data models for analytics, Tableau dashboards, and self-service tools.
    • Defines standards for data extracts and SQL queries, improving efficiency in analytics data models' execution.
    • Ensures new data models accurately measure KPIs and metrics, documenting code and standards for dashboard creation.
    • Collaborates with internal program and analytics staff for evaluation and analysis activities.
    • Manages new internal requests and communicates changes to external partners.
    • Creates visualizations and communication patterns for actionable metrics.
    • Builds relationships with internal and external partners to standardize dashboards.
    • Assists in establishing uniform business rules for visualization and dashboard creation.
    • Performs other assigned duties.

    What we're looking for

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 4 or more years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
    • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and building new data models for analytics.
    • Experience with Azure Data Factory preferred.
    • Collaboration with Tableau developers and technical/non-technical teams for model validation.
    • Strong communication skills, leadership in driving change, healthcare background preferred.
    • Understanding of business processes.
    • US work authorization required.
    • Seeking someone who embodies a collaborative and proactive attitude.
