  • The
    Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) is recruiting for
    Child Support Operations Managers who, under general direction, plan, organize and oversee a large staff of subordinate supervisors in the operations of the department. These duties include establishment and enforcement of court orders, legal operations, program and policy, clerical functions and coordination and oversite of staff development and training.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Travel:
Statewide and nationwide travel is required on an occasional basis. Travel throughout the County is required, and employees will be required to make provisions for transportation.

At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained by the individual providing the transportation.


Pre-employment Process: Applicants must pass a background investigation, including DOJ/FBI Clearance, credit check, physical examination and drug test prior to appointment.


Work Assignment:

Applicants must be willing to accept assignment, as needed, to any of the DCSS offices, which are located in Loma Linda, Victorville, and Ontario.


Minimum Requirements:


EDUCATION:

Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework from an accredited institution in Public/Business Administration, Administration of Justice, Behavioral/Social Science, English, Math, Humanities or closely related field.

Completion of the Management Leadership Academy (MLA) in San Bernardino County will be accepted toward the required coursework on the basis of 4 quarter units of credit per MLA track completed.

NOTE:


_**_ Q_ualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S.

must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

-AND-

EXPERIENCE (_applicant must meet _one_ of the following two options_
):

Option 1:
Three (3) years of experience supervising staff in a state or county Child Support Services agency.


-OR-

Option 2:

Three (3) years of management-level experience supervising multiple subordinate supervisors, technical or professional level staff in a large office setting or in a government human services program.
