- Supervising a team of full-time EFNEP and SNAP program assistants located in various locations in rural and urban communities;
- Training EFNEP personnel on coordinating and presenting training activities that focus on general nutrition, food preparation, food safety, and food budgeting for limited resource individuals.
- Recruitment of participants to attend programmatic functions;
- Collecting and managing participant data ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Managing EFNEP and SNAP funded budgets and preparing timely reports to various public/private sector organizations;
- Ability to communicate (speak, read, and write proficiently) and work effectively with diverse populations of all ages and maintain cultural sensitivity;
- Demonstrating proficiency with Windows-based software including use of the internet and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel.
- Demonstrating willingness to work with a high degree of integrity, accuracy, organization, sound professional judgment, and the ability to handle confidential, sensitive information.
- Planning and organizing work responsibilities according to priorities developed with the immediate supervisor (Associate Dean for Extension and Outreach);
- Working independently and cooperatively as part of a team within the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences;
- Implementing lesson plans using current and approved curricula and supplemental materials, and tailor appropriate programming based on identified participant needs.
- Collaborating with community agencies that serve the target audience.
- Maintaining records of participants, complete reports, and accurately collect and prepare paperwork as required for the program evaluation process.
- Preparing and submitting accurate expense reports, mileage reports, receipts/supporting documentation, and/or vouchers in a timely manner per established policy and procedures.
- Providing data and information to assist with the preparation of reports, impact statements, and success stories for funders, advisory committees, and others as requested;
- Working closely with Communications department to create and distribute promotional and marketing materials to recruit program participants through print, news, and social media;
- Participating in all required orientation, training, and/or in-service meetings and trainings as scheduled/required;
- Pursuing personal growth through expanding personal knowledge of the total organization and through updating techniques and technical skills relating to the position;
- Contributing to the overall success of the organization by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner;
- Representing the UAPB Cooperative Extension Program to the public, community leaders, colleagues, volunteers, members of University faculty and staff, government officials and the general public in a professional manner.
- Collaborating in activities that are in general support of the UofA Cooperative Extension System including but not limited to attendance at staff meetings, timely reporting of expenses, working with other staff, general marketing of Cooperative Extension programs and other duties as assigned;
- A minimum of five years Extension or related outreach and programming experience serving the individuals, families, and organizations in rural and urban communities.
- Possess a strong background in community outreach education and leadership or at least three years of experience working in equivalent role(s). Experience in implementing outreach projects related to EFNEP and SNAP is essential. Training and professional development will be available. Grant-writing experience is preferred.
- At least a Master's degree in nutrition, human science, extension education, family and consumer sciences, adult education, public health, health education, community health, or related field is required. A PhD or doctoral degree is preferred.

The EFNEP Nutrition Program Coordinator will provide overall coordination and leadership in planning, developing, implementing, reporting, and evaluating the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) operations.
This position will serve as an EFNEP Nutrition Program Coordinator for UAPB Cooperative Extension unit and will implement public informal education and programs to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among limited-resource families and individuals encompassing all age groups, primarily throughout the Arkansas Delta region of the state.
