    You are a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Manager seeking to join a dynamic marketing and communications team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizations online presence and digital brand strategy. Your creative mindset, innovative approach, and strategic thinking will be instrumental in creating and executing impactful social media campaigns that resonate with our target audiences. Reporting to the Senior External Communications Manager, this mid-level manager is responsible for creating, managing, and executing integrated external communications strategies, initiatives, and activities to help generate positive visibility that strengthens the corporate brand and reputation among key stakeholders. These initiatives/activities include digital content development, copywriting and editing, campaign management, and advertising initiatives. This is a visible role that works closely with stakeholders from across the organization. This role collaborates with members of the communications, brand, events, and marketing team to plan, execute, and measure regional and nationwide communications campaigns.

    All work for this position requires strong writing skills, sound professional judgment and discretion, outstanding relationship management, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is creative and collaborative and will be a solutions-oriented self-starter with the desire to grow.

    Responsibilities

    • Work collaboratively with the Senior External Communications Manager, and HITTs communications and marketing teams to support internal and external communications campaigns; develop copy and graphics, monitor metrics, and implement communications tactics.
    • Collaborate and develop relationships with key internal stakeholders across all business units, sectors, leaders, and corporate resources teams to create engaging content, and communicate with external clients and partners as needed.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media content strategy across all HITT social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Instagram, Reels, X, TikTok, and YouTube as well as assist with the corporate website and blog to support marketing strategy.
    • Manage strategy and creative execution on video-forward platforms including TikTok and Instagram Reels, partnering with multimedia and communications teams to script, schedule, and oversee content capture.
    • Ensure consistent branding across all social media platforms, ensuring alignment and relevance with the companys brand identity and messaging.
    • Engage with audiences on behalf of the business by responding to tags, comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
    • Provide crisis communication support and coordination.
    • Manage social employee advocacy program and provide training and resources to help team members become effective brand advocates.
    • Stay informed about emerging social media platforms, trends, news, and technologies to identify new opportunities for reaching and engaging with target audiences.
    • Experiment with new features and formats on existing platforms to keep content fresh and innovative.
    • Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark the brands social media performance against competitors and identify areas for improvement.
    • Measure and monitor the quality, effectiveness, and ROI of communications strategies and tactics; provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Support paid advertising campaigns to maximize ROI.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in marketing, journalism, communications, English, public relations, business, or relevant work experience
    • 5+ years of experience in social media in a fast-paced corporate environment; experience in or knowledge of the architecture / engineering / construction (A/E/C) field is desirable, but not required
    • Strong creativity, copywriting, and communication skills are required
    • Deep understanding of and direct experience with social media as a corporate communications channel as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, LinkedIn, Instagram, Instagram Reels, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube is required
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Business Manager, Meta Business Suite, or Canva a plus
    • Demonstrated strengths in teamwork, organization, multi-tasking, and project management are a plus
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex projects across a variety of functions
