Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the CELB Food, Agriculture & Freshwater Program
- Take the lead in creating and being responsible for the CELB Food, Agriculture & Freshwater Program, including budgets, revenue goals, and business strategies
- Provide guidance on strategy matters and division-level goals to the CELB Management, Strategy and Account Teams, and offer expert input on global initiatives focusing on Food Security and Freshwater Security under the CI strategy
- Deliver presentations to the CI Program Management Group, CI Board, and CELB Executive Council and Advisory Committee
- Oversee a team of directors and managers within the CELB Food, Agriculture and Freshwater Program
- Work closely with CELB corporate account leads to design and execute projects with major corporations, aiming for impactful commitments supporting CI priority outcomes
- Mentor CI staff involved in initiatives under the program
- Collaborate with various leads to develop and present fundraising materials to key stakeholders
- Lead CELB's involvement in initiatives promoting sustainable agriculture, food security, and freshwater ecosystems
- Contribute by writing articles and delivering presentations at conferences on business and the environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
CI Virginia office; frequent travel
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in arts and sciences, business, engineering, humanities, or related field
- Five to ten years of senior-level experience in CSR within corporate, consulting, academic, government, or NGO sectors
- In-depth knowledge of global perspectives on corporate social responsibility related to food, agriculture, and freshwater
- Expertise in environmental and development issues on sustainable agriculture, food security, climate change, and freshwater ecosystems
- Strong research and writing skills on CSR topics in business or academic contexts
- Proficiency in developing ideas, synthesizing data, and presenting information effectively to corporate audiences
- Demonstrated leadership in managing staff and projects
- Experience in budget management
- Advanced studies or professional experience in business, CSR, and environmental and social issues connected to food, agriculture, and freshwater
