    Description:

    • Shift - Evenings with rotating holidays & weekends
    • Location - Silver Spring

    Responsibilities:

    • Under the direction of the Automated Department Supervisors and Manager, performs routine and specialized procedures, reviews and approves clinical test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with established protocol for a laboratory performing high complexity procedures as defined by the standards of the Clinical laboratory Improvement Act of 1988.
    • Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

    What you will need:

    • Associate of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, biological, chemical or related science.

    -or-

    • Successful completion of an official United States military medical laboratory training program with the submission of an official copy of the military academic record, and at least 6 months generalist experience post training.

    -and-

    • Strong knowledge of laboratory methodologies, interpretation of results, quality assurance, and CMS regulations preferred; Ability to work in harmony with personnel to build team driven customer service; Demonstrates basic computer literacy; Demonstrates comprehension, skill and command of oral and written English language
    • Current ASCP, AMT and/or NCA certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician. Can be certification eligible, with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 1 year of employment
