To effectively Serve all aspects of Food and Beverage operations to guests including but not limited to serving, bussing tables, ringing in orders, cash handling, running food, pouring drinks, adhering to company policy, following daily operating procedures, memorizing ingredients, tracking progress and assuring guest satisfaction.

Must have "lead by example" and committed "do what ever it takes" attitude while utilizing proper delegation to ensure completion of tasks.

Other responsibilities include monitoring adherence to all laws and safety guidelines along with reporting information to Management.


Anticipated Workload
Scheduled as needed based on business levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts, following the Scheduling and Attendance SOP and employee manual in accordance with all state and federal law.
  • Maintain a positive, lead by example attitude at all times. Create a positive atmosphere where good performance is recognized and outside issues are left at the door.
  • Ensure all checklists and company controls are being properly used including but not limited to side work, portion weights, waste logs, daily walkthroughs etc.
  • Maintain safe working environment at all times. Ensure proper company procedure is followed with regards to Lifting or Moving items, Using Chemicals, Using Sharp Objects and Kitchen Equipment, Employee Injuries, Guest Injuries, Workers Comp issues, Clinic Visits, etc. Ensure proper reporting to Management.
  • Work with other staff to ensure proper timing and presentation of all food and beverages at each table.
  • Handle cash in accordance with all company policy and protocol in regards to proper cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure that all guests leave happy and satisfied. Address any issues regarding guest experience with Management. Maintain a "Guest First" attitude when addressing any issues. Go above and beyond to make any situation right, within reason.
  • Engage, interact with our guests. We want guests to feel welcomed and comfortable in our establishment.
  • Attend daily preshift meetings.
  • Take part in required staff education including but not limited to study of food and beverage knowledge, quizzes and testing.
  • Execute any other projects as requested within timely manner.
  • Create a genuine & warm reception for each guest; host a great experience from starttofinish

  • Know the priorities of your station and how to support the overall team and guest experience
  • Create a great ambience by keeping busy and engaged
  • Persistently scan the store to see what needs to be done and do it
  • Continually restocked & organize always use FIFO (First In, First Out) for perishable inventory
  • Prepare drinks to recipe with a sense of urgency for each order that comes through
  • Delight guests with artistry & hospitality
  • Continually reset and restock entire station
  • Tempcheck steamed milks throughout the day (at least twice per shift)
  • Start and complete prep items
  • Ensure that counters, equipment, and floors are cleaned (maintain throughout the day)

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:


  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Front of House restaurant position.
  • Must have a current and valid food handler's card.
  • Must be TIPS or STAR alcohol serving course certified.
  • Ability to multitask and perform required tasks in a rapid and organized manner.
  • Be able to understand and communicate in English.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours a day).
  • Effective oral communication skills and the ability to work as a team player.
  • Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, good posture and have required uniform.
  • Must display the ethical and professional standards set forth by PARAKEET.
  • Must have the stamina to work up to 50 hours per week.
