Description
Azure Cloud ArchitectNew Iron is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Architect for a contract-to-hire role in Austin, TX.
Our client is seeking to enhance the scalability of their API and re-architect it to minimize cloud costs.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in architecting cloud-native scalable and performant APIs, .NET programming, and implementing cost-effective solutions in Azure.
Responsibilities:
Architect and design scalable and cost-effective cloud solutions using .NET technologies.
Evaluate our current cloud infrastructure and identify areas for optimization to reduce costs.
Lead the re-architecting efforts to refactor existing applications and services to optimize resource utilization.
Implement cost-saving strategies to reduce Azure cloud spend while ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Monitor system performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions for growing systems.
Manage cloud infrastructure in Azure, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
3+ years of cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on Azure.
Strong background in .NET/C# development
Proven track record of re-architecting applications to reduce cloud costs while maintaining performance and scalability.
Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including infrastructure as code, microservices, and serverless computing.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools.
Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, etc.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
