Full-time, 12 months/year, minimum 40 hours/week. Schedule may vary according to departmental and Company needs
. Currently 6am-4:30pm Tuesday

Job Summary:

The _Production Worker_ is responsible for the production of container-style wax candles including the operation of machines used to blend and pour liquid wax and measure fragrances.

Assists in the Shipping area, as needed.


Job Duties:

• Operating a hand jack to move boxes of empty glass jars and other containers to the production area
• Manually loading empty jars and other containers onto slow moving conveyor
• Manually fitting wick clips onto jars as they move along conveyor
• Operating waxblending machines that require using a digital scale to calibrate proper fragrance amounts
• Recording raw materials used onto production log
• Operating a labeling machine which includes loading rolls of labels onto a spindle, adjust, as needed, using hand tools including allenwrenches and screwdrivers
• Manually placing wicks into glass jars and other containers, as needed
• Operating hot melt glue gun to affix wick bases to containers
• Manually clipping wicks to proper length using scissors
• Manually trimming fitments using a knife or other blade, as needed
• Manually placing lids onto glass jars and other containers
• Visually checking each finished product for quality before boxing
• Loading boxed product into automatic L sealer
• Palletizing full boxes of product
• Recording product run details onto daily production log
• Notifying the production supervisor or manager of any issues
• Shipping duties include picking and packing finished products
• Performing additional duties as requested by supervisor or management
• Operation of Candle Making Machinery and performing operatorlevel maintenance of the same
• Responsible for performing all duties safely and in a manner consistent with the policies and procedures of Kringle Candle & OSHA and enforce the same within daily production staff operations
• Responsible for reporting all accidents/incidents (e.g., workplace, motor vehicle, customer, employee) to the necessary personnel (e.g., HR Manager, Production Manager), and creating accident reports for workers comp claims
• Professionally interact and maintain effective and open communication with all personnel, vendors, manufacturers, and customers
• Always maintain a professional and positive manner and appearance

Required Education, Training, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Has schedule flexibility, varied hours may be assigned
• Ability to work as part of a productive team
• Has a positive and outgoing personality
• Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally and with assistance as needed
• Ability to be selfdirected and work independently with limited supervision

Work Environment - Production, Laboratory, and Shipping & Receiving:

Work will be performed in a variety of environments and locations, the environment in which work is usually performed walking around and may require sitting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying during the workday.

During the workday, the employee may be required to lift and move material safely.

Working in the Production, Lab, and Shipping & Receiving environments; the employee may be exposedtooccasional loud noise (like high pitched _"WeeWeeWaWaWahWeeeeeeeee"_ noise heard at service station with air tools); constant background noise of dozens of 30" box fans running; 80% of work environment not dusty, but occasional wax spill on work surfaces and flooring; high concentrations of various fragrances that can sometimes seem quite unpleasant as well as other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

The floor is surface finished concrete. There is mínimal natural light with non-venting windows. Safety glasses and occasional ear protection may be needed.

Required to maintain a current and valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as established by the Company's insurance provider.

May occasionally work a varied shift and days, as requested.
