- Provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based care models in delivering nursing care Allergy Clinic patients including adult and pediatric patient populations.
- Perform oral immunotherapy testing, oral food challenge testing, and food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) testing.
- Respond to allergic reactions, up to an including anaphylaxis, utilizing clinic protocols.
- Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, nurse visits (in person/ video visit), in-clinic hands on procedures, and other duties assigned.
- Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care.
- Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources, including UMH policies and protocols.
- Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health care/community services to promote continuity of care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer allergy injections, both building and maintenance dose schedules, according to Allergy Division protocols.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills through use of the nursing process, excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to set priorities.
- Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build respectful relationships within and between units and individuals as indicated by interviews, references, and/or performance evaluations.

- Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.
- Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions.
- Willingness to adapt to different populations pediatric and/or adult as patient demands. Orientation and training would be provided for new subspecialties within Allergy Clinic based on expansion of division.

teaching plan, evaluates patient's understanding and modifies approach as necessary. - Seeks out additional patient education resources beyond unit.
- Demonstrates ease in application of hospital policies and unit procedures and protocols.
- Anticipates, identifies, and intervenes when there are concerns related to patient safety, staff
safety and safe medication processes. Consults documentation to identify trends in patient status
and enhance continuity of assessment and ongoing nursing care. - Possesses clarity on one's own values and how they affect interactions, relationships and
boundary setting. - Individualizes communication based on assessment of the patients and families.

- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
- Three (3) years in the last five (5) years of RN experience with adult and/or pediatric patients in an Ambulatory Care Clinic setting.
- Proficiency with MiChart inbasket management and documentation of patient encounters in electronic health record, e.g., Epic.
- Experience with patient/family education.
- RN experience responding to allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.
- RN experience giving allergy injections
- RN experience with telehealth and phone triage nursing within the last year, including patient triage and providing education by telephone

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $38.26-$59.35 / hour
? Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour

? Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
? Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour
The benefit package includes:
Hours/Week: 40 hours/week in-clinic.
Shift/Hours/Days: Day Shift; Mon-Fri, some Saturdays may be required (nontraditional including further weekends/holidays commitment). Hours may be variable based on patient and volume needs, with flexibility required.
Location: Dominos Farms Allergy Clinic with potential to work in other locations.
Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
