Description
Job Description:
Our Fall Pipe vessels, Cable Laying vessels and Heavy lift vessels are highly technological equipment working in the offshore industry.
As an engineer you are part of the engine room watch and perform watch duties, with due consideration for the engine room safety.
Duties:
Carry out duties according to STCW regulation
Maintain and repair the technical equipment on board according to instructions of the First or Chief Engineer
Operate main and auxiliary machinery and the associated control system
Assist the First and Chief engineer for the efficient and safe running maintenance of the equipment
Maintain a safe engineering watch
Observe the quality, health, safety and environmental system
Requirements:
Completed a maritime education in Engineering
Several years of work experience in the maritime or offshore field
Certificate of Competency Officer in charge of an Engineering watch (III/1) or Second Engineer (III/2)
Required, valid certificates for the position, according STCW 2010 Amendments
Valid HUET or BOSIET certificate (preferable)
STCW VI/6 Security Awareness or VI/6 Designated Security (preferable)
Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, Seafarers Medical
Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment
Hands-on and no nonsense mentality
Fluency in speaking and writing English
