    Description

    Project Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
    As a Project Controls Engineer, you will provide support for a project from contract award up to close. You are the one that plans the work and keeps an overview of the overall progress. Implementing tools and processes challenge you and you make sure that this implementation goes smoothly.

    Project Management Systems do not have any secrets for you. You understand core project controls knowledge areas (scheduling, risk management, cost control, project information management).

    Thinking out of the box and using innovative ways to improve the business processes are key elements in this job.

    Your Responsibilities:
    Deliver successful project controls for the assigned project, reporting to the project manager / project director.

    Set up a realistic project plan, control this plan during the project and adapt whenever necessary.

    Be part of a project team located on sites worldwide.

    Liaise and work with internal supporting departments to implement project administrative requirements.

    Develop and update project management documentation with a focus on project controls.

    Monitor the performance of the project management system and make suggestions to improve efficiency & effectiveness.

    Keep an eye on the contracts, ensuring delivery according to agreements and specifications.

    Follow up on project costs:
    forecasting, reporting, and evaluation with the project financial controller.

    Report on the project's daily progress to the project manager.


    Requirements:
    BSc or MSc Degree in a relevant discipline.

    Keen interest in scheduling, information management, contract administration, budgeting, and/or execution of civil & offshore works.

    Solid organizational skills, strong written and oral communication abilities.

    Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.

    Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude.

    Ability to handle stress and deliver quality work against strict deadlines.

    Team player with a focus on client/stakeholder management.

    Flexible to relocate to Belgium and/or travel to projects.

    Experience with developing project schedules (Primavera P6) is a plus. Experience with setting up Document Management System (Aconex, Ineight, ThinkProject, etc.) is a plus. Contract management skills and cost controlling skills are assets. Experience in consolidating multiple data sources, analysis, and report/dashboard creation is advantageous.
