We are currently searching for a talented
Civil Engineer III
to join and grow with our Civil team
Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You'll engineer better communities complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects.
Regardless of the project, you'll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project:
planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction.

Duties May Include:
Client service management
Project management
Project scoping and contracting
Production of construction plans and specifications
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
This role is open to candidates currently residing within 50 miles of Des Moines, IA or candidates willing to relocate to that area
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Iowa
A minimum of four (4) years of experience would be preferred for this role
Previous experience serving as a design engineer or project manager for multiple city infrastructure projects
Ability to develop new business opportunities and win project work
Previous project management, design and construction administration experience of Civil/Municipal projects including site improvements, streets, drainage and utilities
Experience in preparing project plans, specifications and bidding documents
Previous experience in project proposal preparation and client service management
Previous experience leading a staff of engineering professionals
Ability to coach and mentor junior level technical staff and Graduate Engineers
