Description

The Surgery Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures, ensuring efficient patient flow, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Coordinate surgical schedules for patients, surgeons, and operating rooms
• Communicate with patients to provide preoperative instructions and answer questions
• Obtain necessary authorizations and verify insurance coverage for procedures
• Enter patient information accurately into the scheduling system
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure all necessary resources are available for surgeries
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

• Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in surgery scheduling or a related role
• Proficiency with medical scheduling software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical administrative support training is a plus
