LifeGift is currently looking for a Tissue Donation Specialist to facilitate the recovery process of bone and other tissues and organs under highly sterile conditions to be processed and distributed for transplant and/or research.

Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Tissue Donation Specialist and perform the following essential functions?

Perform aseptic recovery of all tissues according to LifeGift policies and procedures while maintaining proper documentation during the procurement process.
Perform donor identification, reconstruction, and postmortem body preparation, and assist with cleanup of the operating room and/or recovery area.
Arrange for courier pickup of tissue and completion of paperwork specific to tissue services.
Work with the organ donation specialist staff to support the development of community hospitals' tissue donor referral programs and assist the staff with inservice education for hospital personnel, physicians, and the public.

Do you have the education and experience to be a XXXXXXXXXXXX?

Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least four years of clinical experience.
Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) preferred.
Valid Texas driver's license.
