Family Support Center is seeking applicants who are enthusiastic, energetic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and have strong oral and written bilingual communication skills to fill the role of Family Resource Coordinator.

Reports to:
AVP of Family Support Services


Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare financial assistance documents.
  • Attend meetings with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
  • Support families with financial processes (e.g., completing Expenditure Plans, processing check requests).
  • Maintain documentation of fund distributions.
  • Develop the Asset Development Initiative.
  • Utilize Microsoft Access and Excel to manage fund allocations and distributions.
  • Prepare midyear and yearend financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with DDS auditing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the agency's finance department.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Center's plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for individuals and their families.
  • Nurture positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians, neighbors, and other service providers.
  • Assist program staff with support services and activities for families and individuals.
  • Serve as the first contact for incoming families and complete the intake process.
  • Provide information and referrals to families seeking support and assistance.
  • Conduct family support assessments for new family support members.

Requirements include:

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word).
  • Possess either a relevant bachelor's degree or three years of relevant experience.
