The
Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation and execution of San-tron's global quality system with the goal of continuous improvement towards zero defects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the global quality system, including internal and external quality, maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards
- Plans and institutes inspection strategies, methods and procedures which address FMEA analysis.
- Performs audits to monitor effectiveness of inspection strategies, methods and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
- Manages the Company's Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
- Leads the investigation and resolution of customer complaints as they pertain to product and procedures.
- Responsible for organizing, maintaining and reporting quality data.
- Responsible for facilitating MRB activities.
- Investigates and advises on areas of cost, procedures, process and product efficiencies to help drive continuous improvement.
- Leads, develops and conducts training sessions to keep all associates informed on procedures and methods as they pertain to quality assurance.
- Responsible for continuous educational process in Quality Assurance in order to be up to date on new and changing technology in the QA field.
- Directly manages the U.S. Quality department including providing work direction, training, performance management and individual development of the Quality team driving continuous improvement within the department.
- Provides work direction and auditing of manufacturing and warehouse personnel as required to monitor quality systems
- Support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer needs.
- Maintain Safety procedures in Quality Assurance areas.
- Participate as a member of a Project Team and/or Cross Functional Team as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in technical field or equivalent with seven to ten years' experience in related field within a commercial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of quality systems within an engineering/manufacturing environment and their implementation.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in quality assurance, control and management; lean manufacturing tools/processes.
- Experience with leading a structured root cause and corrective action process
- Prior experience in managing ISO & AS 9001 program
- In depth knowledge of SPC and other statistical tools related to quality control
- Experience with computer systems required.
- Must have the knowledge to understand the OSHA and other international, federal and state regulations.
- Experience in the development of global, 'customerfocused' quality systems.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Effectively leads change initiatives. Has the ability to engage and lead others through change.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally 20%.
- Green or Black Belt certification a big plus.
Pay:
$100, $130,000.00 per year
