Nursing Supervisor is responsible for facilitating day to day operations of the clinics under the supervision of the departmental management team.

The Nursing Supervisor performs advanced administrative clerical services, within their clinical scope of Practice.

  • Assists with monitoring employee performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and/or professional development and facilitate training.
  • Collaborates with management team to ensure departmental policies & procedures are accurate, uptodate, effective and efficient to support daily operations.
  • Assists departmental leadership in monitoring and evaluating the quality and clinical services within the clinic.
  • Supports management in identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Supports the continuity of care by promoting quality of care with cost effective outcomes and ensures patient concerns and complaints are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Tracks departmental key performance indicators (KPI) and report findings to management on a monthly basis.
  • Oversees, monitors and maintains office supply and places orders for assigned clinics.
  • Assists with facilitating departmental new hire orientation and training MAs and CMAs in assigned areas.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining MA and CMA schedules.
  • Provides coverage for assigned clinics, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma and equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Three years of recent Medical Assistant and/or Certified Medical Assistant experience.
  • One year in a Lead/Management position.
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals within all levels of the organization, patients, providers, vendors and others.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • Current California drives license and proof of insurance.
  • BLS required within 60 days of hire.
