Job Description
Job DescriptionResponsible for supporting, Event Specialist and Event Managers with all aspects of planning a meeting or special event for the client including amenities and accommodations at the event, as well as any associated contract changes and revisions as provided. Must be familiar with basic event concepts, practices, and procedures and be able to think out of the box.
Salary is based on experience and after 90/120 days we look at doing a hybrid schedule.
Reports to the Manager of Meetings, and President
Responsibilities:
· Support event managers and team with the events
· Assist with larger events as part of a team environment
· Interact with key business relationships
· Build and Manage registration database
· Research and report creative event options, off-site venues, and entertainment based on client's program format and budget as provided by event specialist
· Responsible for creation of budgets, timelines, account management (internal clients), calendars, vendor management and negotiations under the supervision of management
· Record all invoices and provide billing pertaining to program management when asked
· Provide onsite event support and registration management as requested. May include travel within or outside of the U.S.
· Manage a timeline
Requirements:
· One to two years' experience as an event assistant / coordinator or successfully completed Paragon Internship program
· 4-yr degree preferred but not required
· Proficient with Microsoft office (excel, word, etc.), file maker, outlook. Experience with on-line registration systems and reporting or ability to learn
· Must be a team player, self-starter, motivated and able to multi-task
· Able to work with minimal supervision when required, assess and prioritize workload in a deadline oriented environment
· Excellent written, spelling and verbal communication skills
· Professional, flexible personality
· Understand the importance of wardrobe, uniform requirements (when required)
· Flexible schedule to support meetings, some weekends and some travel
