    We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team You will be handling the defense of various clients that are being sued for personal injuries.

    Responsibilities:

    • You will be handling discovery on matters assigned to you up to Trial.
    • Handle all document discovery and investigation on assigned cases.
    • Conduct all party and non-party depositions.
    • Appear in State and Federal Courts on discovery related matters.
    • Attend site inspections and meetings with clients sued in each matter assigned.
    • Negotiate settlements when possible through direct negotiations or non-binding mediation.

    ​Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in handling the defense of insureds in personal injury actions from inception to conclusion.
    • Familiarity with premises liability, trucking liability, NY Labor Law liability, municipal liability, and automobile liability.
    • Ability to build rapport with clients and claims representatives.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Deadline and detail-oriented.
