SALARY RANGE:

$44,770 - $59,400 (commensurate with experience)


ABOUT ALL CHICAGO MAKING HOMELESSNESS HISTORY (All Chicago MHH):


All Chicago MHH's mission is to unite our community and resources to provide solutions that ensure and sustain the stability of home.

On any given night, nearly 6,000 Chicagoans do not have a place to call home. These are our neighbors and together we can ensure that we all have stable homes.

All Chicago MHH prevents and ends homelessness through emergency financial assistance, community partnerships, data analytics, and training and research.

We strengthen our community's collective efforts to prevent and end homelessness, guided by a vision of impact, influence, and inspiration.

As our name implies, All Chicago MHH brings together homeless service providers, non-profit partners, donors, and people with the lived experience of homelessness in a strategic effort to make homelessness history in Chicago.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Develops a thorough understanding of assigned systems and agencies, including eligibility requirements, intake procedures, grievance procedures and remedies, and helpful points of contact.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with assigned partners.
  • Conducts research related to system navigation, including literature reviews and identification of promising practices in other CoCs.
  • Develops and delivers trainings and resources for homeless service system partners; provides technical assistance by presenting information, discussing challenges, and identifying needs.
  • Consults with homeless service staff to assist with system navigation and problem solve around specific challenges.
  • Works collaboratively with partners to problemsolve when barriers to housing or service delivery arise.
  • Sends detailed communication to partners agencies regarding housing referrals, transfers, and data entry requirements.
  • Completes data entry in HMIS, iCarol, and other databases as required.
  • Generates reports on program activities and outcomes for funders and other stakeholders.
  • Develops understanding of HUD and Chicago CoC rules and regulations related to longterm housing pathways creates materials to support others in understanding how to demonstrate compliance with them.
  • Plans, schedules, and facilitates workgroup meetings with external partners; takes meeting minutes and sends out followup items.
  • Gathers feedback from stakeholders, including people experiencing homelessness, on their experience with system navigation and related challenges.
  • Raises challenges with Senior Program Manager to support troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Responds to inquiries from housing providers, from community members seeking housing resources and assistance, and to grievances regarding system navigation.

Requirements:


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possessing 23 years of experience in the field(s) of homelessness service delivery and/or housing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with housing or service systems frequently encountered by people experiencing homelessness (healthcare, public benefits, child welfare, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries, complaints, or concerns, as presented by staff, consumers, service providers, and other stakeholders.
